Ducks
A duck flies into the still water, lands and sends ripples across the surface.
It’s a white one, I guess they are rare to see and have near you.
It has a friend, this one brown, that joins it on the water.
They swim across the top exploring and being together.
They hop out and have a seat to soak in the sun.
They snuggle together as if it is a cold day and they need each others heat.
The peacefulness they display without a care in the world at this particular moment.
The sun, water and each other.
Eventually they are disturbed and the moment is gone.
They fly off with the white one in the lead. I suppose to look for another moment they can share.
They leave feathers behind to let you know that they were there.
They usually come back but who knows when that might be.
I hope they find another moment and enjoy it as long as they can.
How great is it that they have each other to make their journey.
Good luck and God speed to you both and I hope you find the spot where you won’t be disturbed.
